The wine is intense and complex, often coming from rather long barrel aging. This wine has been in cask for 24 months. It should be opened a few hours before the tasting. The color goes from intense ruby red when it is young, it changes to ruby red with garnet reflections when the wine matures. Its consistency is remarkable which results in an evident resistance of the surface in the rotation of the glass. The aromas are of: black cherry, plum, blueberry, licorice and tobacco of medium-large intensity and medium complexity. The combinations are: grilled meat, lamb, game and aged cheeses. The nose is fruity, floral, spicy, mineral, balsamic, ethereal and herbaceous. On the palate it has great acidity, alcohol, body and tannins. It should be served at 18-20 degrees. The recommended glass is the large red one.
